Your gym you have been going to, for as long as you can remember, won’t get you the results you want to see.

Your gym is an empty box filled with cold equipment that is just there. You pay your membership dues, you go along your day, and you work out. But what is your gym really doing for you?

Your gym won’t push you.

Your gym won’t call you to see where you are.

Your gym does not ask you how your nutrition is.

Your gym does not ask you how you are feeling today.

Your gym is only a small portion of your overall health and fitness journey.

There are three things that are way more important for your overall health goals than your gym.

Yourself. You are the only one that will be able to make results happen. You can receive fitness plan after fitness plan, you can switch your routine 209 times but if you do not stick to something, if you do not commit to it, if you do not allow yourself to push past the plateau, then, unfortunately, overall results will not be seen. Your overall mindset must be 85% positive in order to see results.

Nutrition. I will say it until I am blue in the face. I can have an army of humans tell you the same thing; your nutrition is the number one thing holding you back from seeing the results you are missing. Nutrition is the foundation to seeing those results. Eating wholesome foods, and not processed or eating out is what will define the ones who want that complete change in their body composition.

Your support. Your support team is your home team (friends, family, kids, mentor). They are the ones who cheer for you when you don’t think you can go further. They are the ones who want to see YOU succeed more than they want to see themselves succeed. They are a powerful team, and you must keep them close.

I get emails from people who have hit plateaus, who are not seeing results, and who are stuck, and I always resort back to these three things. I ask them about one of them or all three. The ones who are lost, usually are missing all three things, and these are the ones who will see the greatest results when they put their head down and do the work.

Ask yourself, are you relying too much on the motion of going to the gym? If the answer is yes, don’t worry, there is a support team out there waiting for you, it’s just a matter of time before they find you or you find them.
